Image too dark in header

    Hi,
    I need to know if it’s possible to change the opacity of images in header by CSS.
    The image in background result too dark and it’s no visible.
    I try with
    masthead-banner .... but nothing happened.

    I updated the theme.
    The opacity is reduced in the header of the posts
