Image to be shown in the search results

  • We have products with only a video and when we add the video to product we expect it’s initial image to be shown in the search results.

    It seems this does not happen automatically (if it did that would be great!) however YITH creates a still image in the image gallery and we choose that as the product image. Now that still image has stopped being created, wondering what might have caused this, and if there are any suggestions to address that?

    Wordpress, Woocommerce, YITH all latest versions

    Unfortunately the plugin not set automatically the video image as featured, for thsi reason you cannot see the new image in the search.

    We used to be in Shopify which worked that way and it made things really smooth if you don’t mind making this a feature request ??

    Leaving aside that additional ask, so far YITH used to create a still image in the image gallery when we saved a product with the YITH video and we chose that as the product image. Now that still image is not being created anymore and I wonder what might have caused this; is that the intended behaviour and if not any suggestions to address that?

    Are you uploading vimeo videos? Because in this case is normal because unfortunately Vimeo changed the way to store the image.
