When I run an SEO tester (Raven Tools) it gives me an error that my images don’t have title tags on them. Looking at my media library, they all have titles. I read somewhere that an older version of WordPress stopped displaying image titles. Is that still accurate? Is there a way to make WordPress show them?

    Hello,

    Besides the title on the images, did you add the Alt Text to them when you add the images to your posts?

    I haven’t tried Raven Tools, but it seems to be looking for Alt Tags on the images.

    Hope that helps!

    Cheers

    Alt text is present and Raven (and all other tools) show the Alt text fine. For some reason just the titles aren’t displayed.

    Thanks

    Have you checked if in the code from the image on the post, is showing the title or if it’s showing just the alt?

    Because I’ve checked my blog and it seems it’s only adding the Alt tag, and no Title tag:

    <img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-304" src="https://domain.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/qtq80-8nmnTa-300×213.jpeg" alt=”Black Coffee” width=”300″ height=”213″ />

    I’ve found this post about this topic, but I haven’t tried yet, take a look to see if that helps you.

    Yeah that’s my issue. WordPress doesn’t publish the image titles on their sites. I guess this is normal for them

    I have read that article. That plugin works for new images you add to your site, but old images aren’t affected. I don’t really want to re-upload hundreds of images to get this to work but it seems that’s the only plugin that might do anything like this.
