    Hello,

Despite having checked both the options:
    – “Insert Image Title into post HTML. This will add title=”Image Title” in the tag.”
    – “Globally enable or disable Auto Image Attributes. Should be checked for the plugin to work.”
In the plugin setting page, there seem to have no impact on my website. The image title attribute is not added to its pages.

What could be the source of this inconvenience?

    Hello @fneuf

Thanks for using my plugin ??

Are you talking about new uploads or for existing images?
Also, are you on the new Gutenberg editor?

    Looking forward to your feedback.

    Hello @arunbasillal,

Thanks for your message. I’m speaking about both existing and newly uploaded images and yes, also on the Gutenberg editor.

    Hello @fneuf

    Thanks for your response.

The Gutenberg editor no longer supports the title attribute, but they are updated in the media library which some themes and plugins might still use.

You can see the title in the media library by clicking the pen – https://jmp.sh/il2atC1

It’s a work in progress and can be seen here: https://github.com/WordPress/gutenberg/issues/11054

    Best regards.

I’m a bit of a “perfectionist”, so I define title, alt, desc for all the images I upload.

Checking my website, I saw that title attribute was not used in the pages’ code. After a quick research I realized that Gutenberg did get rid of this attribute. And that’s why & where I found your plugin. I understood one of its purpose, through “Insert Image Title into post HTML” option, was to overcome Gutenberg policy and insert Title attribute in a website frontend.

Now I’m a bit confused. I’ll try to reformulate your last answer to see if I understand it correctly: “When Gutenberg is used the plugin can not directly feed website pages with the media library images attributes”. Is it the right understanding?

The plugin came into existence before Gutenberg. The old editor never added Titles automatically. And with the recent update of Gutenberg, the title is in fact removed.

But as you can see from the GitHub issue (11054), it’s still being discussed over. So we can only hope to have it in the future.
