• This is my first post since I only discovered WordPress about 3 weeks ago. Yesterday I did the upgrade and managed to fix most of my problems by using the great answers already posted on this forum! However I have one feature that I can’t figure out that seems to be missing from the new version.

Open images in new page instead of linking directly to the image file itself. In the older version, I would upload the image, choose to display as thumbnail and then tell it to link to a new page wich displayed the image inside the ‘attachment.php’ file. Maybe I am overlooking it, but I can’t find a way to make this happen again in the new version. Can someone point out the obvious to me? Thanks!

I forgot to mention that this is while I am creating a post and try to attach an image file to the post…I would like it to open up in a new page instead of linking to the actual file itself.

tell it to link to the file itself, and put it in the editor. use the html view to change the target of the link to the place you want.

    kludge but it works
