Image thumbnail not showing while sharing post also website

We had a look at your frontpage you mentioned and see that there is an OpenGraph image configured AND outputted. The og:image links to https://gadnwid.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/gadnwid.jpg. However, when we try to reach that JPG file, we get a 404. This is most likely the cause of not seeing the image on social media when sharing. Can you please reupload the image (best to use a new file name) and then try again. If you do have a caching solution on your site, please make sure to clear that before trying the URL on social again.

In order to make sure that Facebook shows the most current information, please use the Scrape Again button on the Facebook Debugger.

Hey @jeroenrotty, Thank you for your quick response.

I tried what you have suggested, and now the debugger is stating that og:image tag is missing in case of home page.
Homepage: https://gadnwid.com/

Likewise, in case of post og:image tag is available but the image is not showing.
A Post: https://gadnwid.com/what-sonys-new-playstation-5-ps5-looks-like/

Also, the og:image links works perfectly while i am logged in. And as I try to open t in incognito the image doesnt appear and displays the 404 page.

We had a second look at your homepage a couple of minutes ago and saw that apart from the Yoast output, there were also extra meta tags such as an OpenGraph image on your homepage. This can come from another plugin or your theme.

Looking back just now, that is gone. Are you still troubleshooting? We do see that there is no og:image on the front page. Is your homepage an actual page or just showing your latest posts? In case it’s a page you’ve created, you can configure a Facebook image in the metabox. In case it’s configured to show your latest posts, you can configure a Facebook image under SEO → Social → Facebook.

For your PS5 post, we do see an OpenGraph Image being output linked to https://gadnwid.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/gadnwid-162-1.jpg. We do see it’s not being used when we check it on the Debugger and believe because the image is too small. This time i uploaded an image of size 1200 x 630 px for my homepage and now i am seeing an error as:

Provided og:image URL, https://gadnwid.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/gadnwid_001.jpg could not be processed as an image because it has an invalid content type.

Also, there aren’t any other conflicting meta tags except from yoast.

We checked on the og:image you set for your homepage (https://gadnwid.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/gadnwid_001.jpg) and it shows as a 404.

Could you please check if this is a valid image?

The uploaded image is valid image, this link (https://gadnwid.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/gadnwid_001.jpg) is same as in the media library but doesn’t opens.

@decroz Do you mean that the ‘File URL:’ value for the image is the exact same as https://gadnwid.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/gadnwid_001.jpg in the media library? If that is the case you may want to try reuploading the image. However, as the site is returning a 404 when you try to view the image, it is not an issue being caused by the Yoast plugin.
