    We would like to let you know that Google uses the?primaryImageOfPage?property, which is the featured image that you set for your page:

    "thumbnailUrl":"https://www.backdoorpodcast.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/12/Home-1-7.jpg"

    Please request indexing for the page because you have the correct image on your site; Google just needs to update their index.

    It seems like the black thumb applies to all the articles, so I need to make a more extensive fix. Please help

    I had a deeper look

    Google is taking the category background and not the featured images for each post

    how do I change that?

    @acqua, here’s a screenshot of what I see from my end when I performed a site search. The image thumbnails are displayed as expected and not blank.
