Image Swap with Fade – jQuery or other?

  • Hello. I’ve researched extensively and having difficulty finding the right method to have mouseover (hover) of images with a fade in/out effect.

    There are many tutorials with jQuery however most don’t provide the exact steps for insertion of code into functions.php and/or required CSS code. Most involve wp_enqueue however I can’t find anything that works with WP 3.5.2.

    I have the need for three images side-by-side in a WP page body and when mouseover the Image A fades to Image B. Also the images need to be linkable by URL to interior site pages.

    Does anyone have the solution or can point to a site with the information?
