This was just what I was looking for! I just installed the plugin and it does show the image with text okay. But when you scroll, the image just sticks there and the text just scrolls above it. I’ve disabled plugins and scripts but nothing fixes it. It is loading your js and css files okay, so it’s not that either. Can I get some help? This is what I mean: https://www.screencast.com/t/2zPkRc6Qo1I

    Thanks! Mike

    Hi Mike,

Sorry, I just saw this. I thought I was subscribed. I can’t really debug the screencast, but if the parallax image isn’t moving, then the jQuery is being blocked by some other script.

I tested the parallax with default wordpress themes, and a few custom themes without issue. Remember… I didn’t write the parallax.js script, just turned it into a shortcode.

Once again, without seeing your page in action, I can’t offer much help.

So, you’re the guy who contacted my from my website. For documentation purposes, the problem with his non-parallax image was the sticky menu script he was using. This was causing the parallax image to get a position: fixed instead of absolute, and thus it didn’t scroll.
