    Hi,

This plugin is brilliant, but it has suddenly stopped working for me.

Whenever I upload a new image and add the source information, it is just displaying “not available” on the images instead of the actual source. All of the images uploaded previously are displaying the sources correctly.

I’ve seen this post where you suggest changing the translation of the label with a translation editor.

I’m trying to keep my plugins to a minimum and I was wondering if you have any suggestions on how I might go about fixing this without using another plugin.

    Hope you can help.

    Hi,

did this happen after any update (any plugin, WordPress)? There was no update for ISC recently, so I have not even a hunch.

Wow, thanks for the quick reply.

Now that you mention it, I did switch from WordPress 4.1.1–en_US to 4.1.1–en_GB a little while ago. I’ll switch it back quickly and see if that resolves the issue.

No, it’s nothing to do with the GB localisation. It seems to be working with some images now, but not others.

It seems to be that it doesn’t like images that are set to display at their ‘full size’. When I set it to display at a different size, it works just fine. So it’s pretty easy to work around this.

Thanks for taking the time to reply. This plugin is one of the most useful that I have installed, so I’m glad to be able to keep on using it!

    Hi, I’m back.

Sorry to post so much, but setting the image to a custom size doesn’t seem to work either.

It is only working if I select one of the pre-defined large (600×400), medium (300×200) or thumbnail (150×150) settings. I need a 750×250 image.

I can’t figure out what would cause this issue.

    Hi,
could you send me a url where this works and one where it doesn’t?

    Thanks

    Hi Thomas. Thanks for replying.

I have a page where it’s a mixture of times where it works and times when it doesn’t.

That’s right here. The ones that aren’t working are the images under headings 7 and 6. Headings 5-1 are images that were added a while ago, and they work just fine. The images in the body of the text under heading 6 and 7 have also been added recently, but they work just fine.

The credit in the featured image is separate. It functions independently of the plugin.

    Thanks

    Hi Chris,

from the html code it looks fine. I “hoped” for some strange image names, but everything seems ok.

If 765×255 is a custom size, than it works there too, because image 5 has a source.

Really strange. I can’t spot a pattern yet.

Thanks for taking a look, Thomas. It’s a strange one. I’ve tried a few other sizes in the same proportions as the 765×255 images (e.g. 810×270), but they don’t work either. I don’t know if that could have anything to do with it.

I’m going to keep playing with it to see if I can stumble upon a solution.

    Thanks

    Hi Chris,
it would be great if you find the solution, but I can support you on this ??

What I would need is something that I can reproduce.

    Thanks

Thanks Thomas. I haven’t been able to find a solution. Is there anything I could do to help you reproduce the issue?

    Thanks

If you find a situation where the problem always appears. As I checked so far, not for every custom size this happens. But maybe we missed a common problematic conditions.

    Thanks

The issue is resolved! Turns out it was actually a really simple issue.

My images have the image size included in their file names. I.e. “image-300×200.jpg”. Changing the file names to remove any reference to the image size resolves the issue.

I was re-reading this thread and I decided to try changing the image names after seeing where you said that you had hopes for some strange image names.

    Thanks for your help!
