1.Looks at your link. The images are very very small? You need larger images for your slider.

2. I’m not sure I understand if you are talking about the background on the text you can remove with this css:

.captiontitle, .captiontext {
  background: transparent;
}

What should be the size of the image?
Any suggestions from where I can download some of these free pic?

1. Add the css I posted above to your theme options > advanced settings.

2. Images should be at least 1170px wide and whatever height you want the slider.

You can look at using pagebuilder. The premium theme has more options for this but with free you would have to add in your own images.
