The recommended image sizes for the featured image are as follows:
1. Top Slider: 1349px * 640px
2. Banner: 960px *960px
3. Others: 840px 450px.
Since this is a fluid design, all the images make not come in perfect size. So I would recommend to install Regenerate Thumbnail plugin and run it. This will automatically crop the images in the recommended sizes. It is also one of the recommended plugin for Fluid Magazine theme – https://raratheme.com/documentation/fluid-magazine/#Recommended_Plugins.
