Image size limitations

Ok, here’s the problem. I am trying to align the images with the calendar itself and I’ve tried editing the padding within the container itself and that doesn’t do anything. I also tried adding padding in html img src code. It still won’t extend to the actual dimensions the image is. It sits at the default size. What I am trying to figure out is how to make it so it will perfectly align or edit the restrictions within the container space.
