Image size in home page

Hi in my home page, I am using two sliders.
The problem I am facing is that the image size in the slider differs from post to post. And also the size of the two sliders which appear side by side is not the same. The slider’s size changes when it moves from one post to another. It is really irritating and looks bad.
Please give a solution soon.
I don’t know much about codes. So if i need to change codes, then please explain in detail.

The recent posts appear immediately under the sliders. Is there any way to introduce some space between them.
