Image size

  • Hello, I am using the twentytwelve theme and I want to put an image in before the writing; i tried putting in an image of 960x250pxls but when i viewed my site; the copy underneath exceeded the width of the image. I would like them to be even/ same width.

    What is the ideal width and height of an image?

  • If there is a sidebar beside the main content – I would suggest about 200 to 250 pixels wide.
    When it comes to how tall – it depends on how much text will accompany the image – because the text will continue beyond the image if the image isn’t tall enough – you might have to experiment with the height dimension a little based on the amount of text.
