• I’m trying to put a photo in my sidebar using the Jetpack Image widget. It calls for a URL, and I’m not used to working with image URLs. I first used PhotoBucket, and then tried ImageShack, but had the same results with both. My image shrinks to about a third or fourth the size it’s supposed to be.

    Can someone help me?

I appreciate it. It’s the tiny ad on the right.

It seems that your theme’s sidebar is not wide enough:

That sidebar is wrapped in a div container with the . twocol class, which makes me think that your theme might be a 3-column theme, with 2 right sidebars. Is that possible?

Could you check your theme options? You might be able to change the number of columns from 3 to 2 there.

Otherwise, I would suggest that you edit the theme’s sidebar.php to remove the .twocol div.

    I hope this helps.

Thank you Jeremy! You truly happiness. ??

I was afraid to “remove” anything, since I wasn’t sure what exactly to remove, but changed I changed “twocol” to “onecol” where it showed up twice in the sidebar.php.

I have my layout set to 4 columns, with the sidebar counting as one of the columns. It only shows four when the screen is opened wide enough. Before I changed the sidebar.php, I messed with the variations of layout and my image on the right did get larger with other layout options, yet there was also a white space to the right of it, about the same size as the image, so it did make sense that there was a two column thing happening.

Can you tell me what the sidebar boxes are? I have a layout option called “Boxes Sidebar Columns” and can set it to 2, 3 or 4. I thought maybe it referred to vertical space within the column, and gives me a choice of 2, 3 or 4 “boxes” to put widgets in. Is that correct?

I’m not sure, I’m not really familiar with your theme. I would suggest that you contact the theme author about this, they should be able to help!
