• I’m using JM Twitter Cards For some reason I continually get a broken image when our links are posted on Twitter. The Twitter Card Validator tool doesn’t show any errors, but this is happening with all our posts on Twitter.

    Checking the meta tags on the page source, I notice there is no twitter:image tag:

    <!--|| JM Twitter Cards by Julien Maury 11.1.10 ||-->
    <meta name="twitter:card" content="summary_large_image">
    <meta name="twitter:creator" content="@babalubloggers">
    <meta name="twitter:site" content="@babalubloggers">
    <meta name="twitter:title" content="Meme of the Day: New Miami transplants when they visit Publix">
    <!--||  /JM Twitter Cards by Julien Maury 11.1.10  ||-->

    Is there a reason why it’s doing this? I’ve checked the settings in our plugin and can’t anything about image except adding a default image. When I do that, the twitter:image tag shows up showing the image file, but the image is still broken when posted on Twitter.

    Thanks for your help.

    To clarify, when I designate a default image, the default image file, not the first image on the post, shows up at twitter:image, but the image is still broken when posted on Twitter.

    markup is incorrect. You don’t have the meta image.

    By default, the plugin won’t grab the first image (you need an add-on for that: jm twitter cards first image).

    If you don’t use the add-on, it will look for the featured image associated with the post.

    Thank you for the reply and I really appreciate your help on this. Unfortunately, I can’t get the Twitter card to show either the first or the featured image. If I post the URL on Twitter, the image is broken.

    Here’s an example based on a recent URL: https://babalublog.com/2022/10/20/growing-up-in-the-us-and-folllowing-juan-marichal/

    Can you check the code on this page and see if you can find why that’s happening?

    Thank you again so much for your help!
