Image selection not functioning properly

    I am using version 2.0.14

    My goal: Adding x out of y images to a static page
    I click the “NextGEN Gallery”-button on the visual editor.
    Within the lightbox, I select:
    – “NextGEN Basic Thumbnails”
    – Sources “Galleries”
    – Galleries “MyGallery”

    The “Sort or exclude images”-tab shows my full gallery.
    I click “Exclude all” and remove the checkmarks from the images I want to have on my page and click “Save”.

    I publish my page but what I see seems to be a random selection of images within my gallery.
    I go back to the page editor and click the “NextGEN Gallery”-button again. I directly go to “Sort or exclude images” and here, only the images I wanted to see are checked.

    Any ideas on this one?

    The issue remains and in addition, I noticed that sorting in the ATP is not working correctly and that in fact notall images of the selected gallery are shown.

    By the way:
    Selectting a gallery and ticking all images for exclusion does still show a random number of pictures on my page.

    Can anybody please help?
    I already reinstalled down to version 2.0.0

    Where does ngg store the information of which images to include into a displayed gallery?

    @mkk84: I just tested this again on a couple of test instances. A few notes:

    I’m assuming you are loading a large gallery? I think you’ve identified a bug. I had to try a few things, but I think the display tab may be displaying 100 images on the page wihout pagination to go to the next page. Can you confirm that’s what you are seeing when you say “all images are not showing”?

    If that is the case, it may be that when you click exclude all, it’s excluding all visible images but just not showing all images in the gallery. I’d like to ask if you can please confirm that if you exclude specific images, those specific image do NOT display? And the specific images that are unchecked do display? If so, what may be happening is just that there are other images that still displaying because they’re not being displayed on that display tab.

    For now, I’m adding an issue on what appears to be a 100 image limit on the display tab.

    Thanks for getting back on this.

    I confirm:
    What you described is exactly what I am experiencing; except for that fact that my gallery has only about 50 images in it. I do have a slow database Connection… maybe not all images can be loaded in time!?
    But yes, not all Images are being displayed and those not displaying are not excluded even when I click “exclude all”.
    The ones I can tick/untick are shown/not shown; so far so good.

    Sort or exclude images”-tab seems to have more than one issue as sorting according to filename does not always work. I would assume this issue can be replicated as well.

    I have the same problem with large galleries. And I have a lot of them. It is a result of the “100 image limit”.

    Can you provide a instant fix or so?

    For me it is essential to select one or a few pics out of a large gallery to provide them within a post. Currently I do it with shortcodes and “image-ids” but that’s not really comfortable ??
