Image rotation redux

  • I took a bunch of mixed portrait and landscape photos on my Android phone and downloaded them to my Macbook. On all Macbook software (Preview, browsers, etc.) the photos show in the correct orientation. After I upload them to my WordPress site, the portrait photos are flipped 90 degrees. I’d rather not have to rotate these one-by-one.

    I am aware of this and related threads but the answers and plugins pertain to what iOS does with photos and I am not using that platform.

    I don’t understand why the images are in the correct orientation on multiple desktop apps but not after upload and am looking for a fix. It looks to me like the metadata from the camera are correct. Suggestions appreciated.
