Image Resizing

Hello!
I’ve been trying to experiment with visual portfolio but i cannot seem to adjust the image size. i’d like it to be bigger.
What I’ve tried:
1) I’m currently using the Colibri WP theme, and I’ve tried live previewing other themes to check if it was the theme that was the issue, it still has small thumbnails, and I am unable to resize the thumbnail images (see website link).
2) I’ve tried editing the thumbnail sizes and regenerating the thumbnails, and the images are still small. Is there a way to toggle with the image sizes? Purpose of larger image is to be able to include the image title, and categories ideally.
Each image in this website in the wordpress media library has these characteristics:
File type: image/jpeg
File size: 327 KB (more or less)
Dimensions: 1080 by 1920 pixelsI’ve also been using the free version, and using the default editor on WP since I cannot edit the block in Colibri.
I tried browsing the free forum and I haven’t found an answer yet. Would love input!
