    Hi,

Thanks for making this excellent plugin – the compression works very well indeed!

The one issue I have, however, is that despite ticking the box for “Resize large images” and setting the maximum dimensions to 1280 x 9999, the images I upload remain their original dimensions at 3000+ pixels wide.

Am I doing something wrong here, or should the image not have a maximum width of 1280px after ShortPixel has dealt with it?

    Thanks

    Hi,
thanks for your message and for the kind words ??

Basically if you choose the max dimensions 1280×9999 there won’t be much resizing because the algorithm also tries to keep the aspect ratio so all your thumbs can be safely generated again without visual artifacts.

What I suggest is that you try to set the rescaling size to 1280×1280 (or x1024 or x768, whatever works best with your current thumb sizes) and then again to check and see the 3000px images you’re uploading are rescaled as wished by you.

I too have had this problem although I have set my maximum image size to 1024 x 1024. No matter what I do, my images don’t resize. Are you able to help?
