Hello, I have a small problem on my website. Please forgive me but I’m a novice in just about the most extreme sense. My friend pointed out this issue to me concerning the smaller thumbnail images that I use on many pages of my site (for example: https://www.tolkienbooks.us/hob/us/tpb/): “Are the individual book images animated when the page loads? They are big and then they get small. It’s weird and looks like a bug.” He didn’t know how to fix it but had this to say: “My only other thought is that when I look at an image in the inspector I see a very large amount of metadata and I even see the word “resize” in there at least once. Maybe it’s related.” Here is a screenshot of what he was referring to: https://www.dropbox.com/s/hj51vmgkx5aqaa6/Screenshot.png?dl=0 I would be very grateful for any advice you can offer! Thanks in advance. (My site password is: tolkientestuser).

    Hello,

I’ve looked at your page in Chrome, but I don’t see anything strange with your images during page load.

Can you tell us in which browser/device do you experience this problem?

The “resize” parameter is added by the Photon feature which is enabled in Jetpack plugin under Jetpack > Settings page in Dashboard.

You can try to deactivate it, but I don’t think it will make any difference:

Yes, that fixed it! Thank you so much for your advice!

For what it’s worth you can see the issue (before I disabled the photon feature) here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/yrzyl2ykjqb4gox/Capture1.mov?dl=0
