Image relative addressing incorrect

I am using EM with WP2011 and 2012 and have the same problem on both sites.
Using the EM built in event editor, create or edit an event and add an image from the library. The link created is relative. Example
“href=”../wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/short_mat_bowls.jpg”When this event is displayed the address is converted to absolute and “events” added after the site URL but before WP URL. Example
Clearly this does not match the actual location of the image and as a result get broken link images on screen.
Inserting the same image from within the WordPress dashboard gives the
correct (absolute) URL ” https://www.chalkevalleysportscentre.co.uk/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/short_mat_bowls.jpg”I want to continue using the EM editor as it suits less technical people. Any ideas on how to solve this?
