Image redirect problem

  • Hi,

    I’m checking my site on gtmetrix and is fairly decent, but an improvement opportunity keeps on coming and I don’t know how to solve (that’s why I’m here).

    It keeps on saying that I should remove an image redirect chain. Can anyone please advise how to do it?

  • You are using a plugin for SSL, right?

    It takes a while for images to be loaded via https://

    It says “remove, if possible” ??
    While it can be done, it’s not something you want to do – you’ll end up with mixed content warnings.

    Hey molinamainieri, it looks like your images are being included as http, which is then redirected to https. You can manually update these image URLs in your page or a plugin like Really Simple SSL will rewrite these image URLs automatically

    Use “better search replace” instead. Search for https://example.com and replace with https://example.com. Then, clear any cache and you can remove the plugin.

    It looks like several of those are in various OG: meta statements. Try resetting your SEO plugin’s settings.
