Image quality setting not applied on upload?

Hello there, thanks for this great plugin!
In image settings I’ve set a specific size and quality (85%) setting and checked “Automatically resize images on upload” but ONLY the size seems to be taken into account during uploade.
At which stage the quality settings are applied to my uploaded images? Do I have to run another command after uploading my images into galleries?
