Image quality on smartphone

  • After inserting an image into a post using the image block, the quality is perfect on desktop (Chrome browser) but on smartphone (also Chrome) is badly degraded.

    The image size I choose under the image block settings are the Full Size image. The Image Dimensions are shown as 320 x 320 px, the correct size of the file.

    I uploaded the image into media library first, then picked that image when adding the image block (as opposed to uploading directly from the block)

    Any ideas anyone?

    @ratamatcat thanks for reporting this. I am not able t replicate but it could be a case of the image, or perhaps the type of smartphone. Would you be able to test on the latest version of WordPress as there have been some image enhancements perhaps would resolve this now?

    If you still get issues, please update here and I can investigate further.
