Image Posting

  • Hi, I’m using WP 1.5.3, and I was wondering what different plugins people can recommend for posting? Right now I’m using WYSI-Wordpress, and I love it for it’s “upload graphis” and “insert image” tools. But one thing I don’t like is that it doesn’t seperate the uploads per user… So for a community site like mine, each user has access to everything that’s been uploaded.

    Is there any plugin just like WYSI that seperates out the image uploads so that each user has their own particular access?

  • Nope. It is always good to go back the the roots: like the homepage of WP.

    I believe both of these have earlier versions that work with versions before WP 2.0, if not it’s an incentive to upgrade ??

    Two plugins I use in conjunction are:
    Organizer
    Role Manager

    With the addition of Role Manager, you can give each person and/or user level the exact permissions they need in Organizer.

    You’ll have to make a user setting for each user individually if you want them to be able to view only their own folder of images in the dashboard.

    Users will have to upload then copy and paste the URL to their image, of course.
