Image Overlay

    I’m updating my site by going with a WordPress powered theme. I love the theme that I’ve found, it’s very simple and to the point. However I’d like to add image overlay’s on the thumbnails, which are populated by the “featured image” sidebar in each post.

    I have this style on my current site, but I had to individually design each thumbnail for the different categories, which I’d like to skip this time around and just go with a one time design for all.

    Ran across these sites with instructions on how to do something like it, but it’s much to complex for me to find all the proper codding within my theme to match with it.

    If anyone had a simple code that I could insert into my css, that would help out a great deal. Not the most code savvy guy either so the simpler and ready to go, the better.
