image overlay…

Hello,

working on a theme for a friend. Going nice and all, however one issue is unresolved. Mostly because neither him nor me can figure it out…

Here’s what we want.

A way of putting file information upon the image when someone hovers over them, an overlay with the caption/title/alt…

We’ve been looking at image-plugins and none does what we would like them to. Or possibly we haven’t looked enough but all seems to put either caption outside of the image or one is forced to click the image and lightboxy plugins do their magic.

Lightbox is nice and all but we want a simple blog without popups…

Perhaps we need to make a plugin of our own, but none of us has a clue on what to consider when coding…
