• Hi!
I’m tweaking my website to get some more performance out of it (it’s already rather good :-), and am not sure what to do: I used another, commercial image-optimization tool, and would prefer to reduce the number of extra add-on super-tools. Litespeed Cache is extremely good, so why not use it for the image-compression, too? But, if I hook my media-library, will the files get “optimized” a second time?

    thanks again!

can’t say , maybe it depends how it was optimized in first time ?

    Hi, @davitz

Have you taken a look at the image optimization documentation on our wiki? Maybe it will help answer some of your questions.

Off the top of my head, I would say that if your previous tool optimized the images and then replaced the original JPG images with optimized versions, our tool would have no way of knowing that and would attempt to optimize those images again.

That said, if our tool is unable to optimize an image (because it is already optimal) it will be skipped.

I would say that it couldn’t hurt to try it and see how it goes. Everything the plugin optimizes can be reverted back, if necessary.

    Hope this helps!
