    Hello,

since few weeks I have a problem with images. In the past with 5000 credits I could autoptimize all images and don’t care for that at all. There was also no need to manual clean unfinished tasks.

Right now I still have 5000 credits, but your plugin using max 500-600. It’s seems that because of few failed optimization your plugin also stop working and don’t even try optimize the rest. So I have to keep cleaning unfinished data few times per day and than manually start optimize processes, which seems to be a little waste of time.

Do you have any idea why suddenly I have this kind of problems?

  • It’s a common problem that sending a large number of images failed the optimization, please follow this thread to lower the number of the image to send each time for a temporary solution.

Also, sometimes our server might be on heavy load caused the optimization speed to slow down, “clean up unfinished data” and start optimization again is the only solution at this moment.

We’ve improved our optimization server and will be released in v3.0, please stay tuned.

    One more thing.

Why after few errors your plugin stop autoptimize rest of images? The error with optimization in most case is connected with images witch was used before on facebook (so they are already optimized).

However it’s impossible to not include part of images in optimization. So perhaps you could reconsider they way the plugin work. If some image can not be optimized, your plugin could just skip it and take the next one. What you think?

Our plugin compares the md5 of image after fetched from client site. If the md5 mismatched w/ the one submitted, will consider that image is failed to fetch. This is to protect client image won’t get wrongly optimized.

In v3.0 it won’t stop all other images from following optm anymore.

However, can you tell a bit more about why the image for facebook is modified during awaiting for optm?

    It’s misunderstanding.

To be more clear – your image optimization can’t handle images which was optimized before. For example images which I got from Facebook. When I add it to my site, your plugin trying optimize it and usually giving me errors in return.
