    Hello,

I noticed that some optimized images have been darkened during the optimization process (using Optimize Losslessly option and 82 WordPress Image Quality Control).

Because of this I had to delete all optimized data and I will restart the process.

What are the recommended settings so that the plugin does not affect the image settings (contrast/brightness)? We sell highly detailed premium products so the optimized image must be 100% true to the original.

    Thank you,

    Hello
Please provide us the site link. Please do not retry running the optimization process until we do some debugging.

This is the site url: https://shorturl.at/pBCL9

I did not run the optimization again.

The ‘darkening’ issue affected only SOME images (not all). This image was affected: https://shorturl.at/uFLS0

Also, I noticed that both jpeg and webp and also thumbnails were affected.

    Hello,

    Thank you for your reply!

I also noticed 2 other related issues:

    1. Even though I did not erase the original images, some originals were replaced by darkened optimised images (and originals no longer exist).
For example, this image should be an original but it was replaced with the darkened version: https://shorturl.at/mntwA
The original would have looked like this (brighter): https://shorturl.at/tvxRW
    2. The plugin generated thumbnails in other resolutions than the ones entered in Image Thumbnail Group Sizes ( https://ibb.co/nBxj3Wy ).
For example this one (resolution 768×1097): https://shorturl.at/chDM3

I was forced to replace the affected images and start thumbnail regeneration. I hope you already got all the info you need.

We are sorry for your problems with image optimization.

I have made tests with the provided image with different settings.
It involves to start optimization from beginning, but first make these settings.
    Admin link: /wp-admin/admin.php?page=litespeed-img_optm#settings
    Most important are:
Remove Original backups -> Keep OFF allow you to restore the originals file
Optimize Losslessly ->keep it OFF. Still optimize the image but keep it to the best quality(see what Losslessly optimization does)
Image WebP Replacement -> set it to ON will replace automatically current image format to WEBP
WordPress Image Quality Control -> set it to 100 for better quality

Please keep me updated with the progress you did.

    Thank you

Thank you for your support! I will redo the optimization process

I restarted the optimization process and it seems to be finished.

I noticed in Media Library that for some images the optm button is inactive (https://ibb.co/Yh9Hvzw). For these images there in no webp image in file manager even though Media Library indicates the webp image exists and saved X%. The thumbnails of these images do have webp versions in file manager.

Could you please explain this behaviour? Thank you!

Also, I noticed that the “Preload featured image” is not visible under Media Settings even though I use LiteSpeed Cache v6.2. Can I make this setting visible?
