    When I click on the image optimization button nothing happens. Digging more into this, I looked at the Developer console and found that it resulted in a 401 (unauthorized) error. It is going to the following url on my site: wp-json/siteground-optimizer/v1/optimize-images and getting back the following json:

    {"code":"rest_forbidden","message":"Sorry, you are not allowed to do that.","data":{"status":401}}

    I’m logged into an administrator account. Any idea what might cause this?

  • Hello!

    I have the same problem!

    When I click “START OPTIMIZACION” in exiting images the developer console returns:

    Response?{type: "basic", url: "https://myurl.com/wp-json/siteground-optimizer/v1/enable-option", redirected: false, status: 403, ok: false,?…}

    That’s browser cache. Please, clear your browser cache completely or disable, delete and re-install the plugin to cheat your browser if you can’t – it will work just fine after that!
