Hi, I’ve been monitoring this for a month now, and I can’t understand what’s happening. I run a big website with a lot of images (more than 100k) and never had issues with Ls image optimization. I use webP feature and subscribed to PAYG, Fast queue, Jumbo group and Priority Line (yeah, pretty much everything). I’m not sure what happened but some times ago image optimization started optimizing all images from scratch, starting from the oldest ones (which date back to 2021). It’s not over yet, and I’m not sure it’s working properly: I don’t have a real way of assessing this since there are so many images, but every time I go to quic.cloud panel and check which images are being optimized, it’s always old images. Shouldn’t it optimize latest images first?

The only thing that may have caused the re-optimization process to restart is when I commented out several unused image sizes registered by my theme and other plugins (I had something like 13-14 image sizes registered, so my grand total of images was well over 1 million). I didn’t regenerate thumbnails afterwards cause I knew it would take ages. Any idea on this? I don’t mind waiting for the process to finish but what for me is vital is to have latest images optimized first. Cron is working ok and managed externally.

Sorry for the long post, I wanted to add as many info as I could. Thanks!
