Image optimization always show in progress and cannot be optimized

    Hi,

    I have this strange behavior in my optimization page.

    There are almost more than 20 images showing this “In Progress” status and never seems to go away after long wait.

    Please see the screen shot

    I also tried to Bulk optimize those affected images, but it just didn’t get started. I am not sure why and this only started like 2 days ago.

    Please help to advice!!

    Hi,

    If i disable the “Parallel Optimization” under Advance settings, everything is normalised!!!!

    I am able to optimized the affected images now!!

    Is there any glitches along the way with the latest EWWW Image Optimizer upgrades?

    Yeah, we’ve had something strange on a few sites with the 2.9.x release. First make sure you’re on 2.9.1.
    Then, I need to know if you have the Import Tweets as Posts plugin active on your site.
    If not, we’re looking for a new culprit, and these are the steps to find it:
    1. Disabled everything except EWWW, and switch to the twenty sixteen theme.
    2. Upload a few images, if it works, proceed, if not, crap…
    3. Reactivate a plugin at a time, upload images, see if it breaks, until you find the conflict.

    I have exactly the same behaviour.
    I must use Bulk (but only works with “Parallel Optimization” disabled.
    No difference when disabling all plugins and changing to twenty sixteen theme.

    When reinstalling 2.8.5 not problems anymore.

    @lenker, please give it one more try with 2.9.1, the issue I’ve seen you have to close out of your browser before doing a new test (and close out of your wordpress site before that if you have restore session turned on).
