This may be outside the scope of this plugin but when I choose to left-justify an image (lets say a 150×150 thumbnail) in my feed, it shows up as full-width and centered above the body text in the Gmail app.

Is there any CSS that I can add to have the plugin manage images better in preparation for the Gmail iPhone app?

My other thought is to use the Premium feature to use image tags so that I might be able to more effectively style the image in my email program.

    Any thoughts or tips?

    Thx!

  • Hi Mike,

You’d have to add specific CSS for your email service, since it handles outputting the structural HTML used to build the email. There are examples of custom CSS for some of the Mailchimp templates pinned to the support forums.

The premium version does include the media tag support, which can help in email templates to position images very specifically, depending on the email service being used.

I can try looking at the CSS in a test email if you can send it to me, rob at presswizards dot com. ??

Hi Rob – Just sent over an email to review and then another email with some background of what you’re looking at.

Let me know if any of that helps to make the images more compatible with Gmail for iPhone app.

    Thx!

    Hi Mike,

Thanks for the emails, and notes on progress. Let me know how structuring your emails for Outlook goes. ??

    I appreciate it,
    Rob
