    Hi there,

Since today i’m having issues with the generation of PDF invoices. All images (logo and products) give an error of; Image not found or type unkown. This only occurs in the generated PDF file. In the preview browser window I can see the logo without a problem.

As far as I know there weren’t any updates performed today.

    Hope somenone can assist.

    Hi @sidddddddd

Do you know if happened any recent updates to your hosting service?

Changing the logo image, for example, does behave differently?

Which file type the logo image has?

Can you share a screenshot of your page WooCommerce > PDF Invoices > Status > System configuration? You can host it here.

    Hi Alexmigf,

There were no updates performed on the hosting service, i’m sure of that. I’ve also tried changing the logo and i’ve tried adding a custom logo for invoice. All without success. Tried with PNG and JPG. It’s not only the logo but also the pictures of the products.

I’ve attached a screenshot, not really sure if this is the page you meant? My configuration is in dutch and I can’t find; WooCommerce > PDF Invoices > Status > System configuration

You mention that you also have this issue with the product thumbnails, does that mean you are using our Premium Templates extension? If that’s the case, please send us an email at [email protected] (make sure to include your license key), since this forum is for the free plugin only.

Did you have “Test Mode” enabled while performing these tests? Otherwise it would use the previous logo for existing invoices!

In the preview browser window I can see the logo without a problem.

Are you referring to the developer HTML output? This is not fully representative for the PDF, especially in the case of images (and fonts), because to generate the PDF they need to be downloaded to your server. And the server could have security restrictions on downloading non-local resources (so anything loaded via the web over http/https, even if that’s your own site). Have you also tested with the HTML output option disabled altogether?

My configuration is in dutch and I can’t find; WooCommerce > PDF Invoices > Status > System configuration

In the Dutch version it is WooCommerce > PDF facuren > Status (last tab on the settings page) > Systeem Configuratie (near the bottom). It’s the same Status page where you enabled the “HTML output” option.

Let us know what you find!

I’m sorry. I see i’ve created this topic under the wrong plugin. The name of the plugins are somewhat alike. To test i’ve installed the WooCommerce PDF Invoices & Packing Slips and made an test with the logo. And with this plugin it shows, only it doesn’t show any pictures for the products. As I understand this is a premium feature?

    Hi @sidddddddd,

Correct. Adding thumbnails to your PDF document is a feature of our Premium Templates extension.
