Image not displaying in XP IE8

Put image with link to a network shared folder. In Win 7 IE9 image is working fine and opens shared folder (permissions on folder are exclusive). When viewing in Win XP IE8 the image is showing as broken but will open folder as well. All other images are fine in site except this one.
