Image not deleted from server!!!!

  • Hello,

    I delete images from the trash permanently, but the image on the server doesn’t get deleted! Im not using any plugins and I have tried another theme, but the problem persist.

    Anyone knows what the problem is? this is getting me crazy!!!!

    are you removing the image from your Media Library using the “Delete permanently” option as in this example screenshot?

    That should remove the image from your storage.

    To check if the image was successfully removed you can navigate the image URL prior to the removal and again after the removal. After removing it you should get a “Not Found” error message.

    Yes,
    I go to the media library, click an image, and when I click to move to trash.
    Then I go to the trash, click the image again, and then I click delete permanently,
    The image disappears from the trash. but the image URL still works. and when I go to the upload folder with FTP, indeed the very same image I deleted is still there.

    OMG this is so weird! I deleted the image on the server, and it still works! how is that even possible????
