Image not compressed

I am using free version of Smush. After the upgrade of – 2.7.9.1 the Smush under Media disappeared.

That’s because latest version has it’s own top-level menu item in WP dashboard now.

And images cannot be smushed. Also got warning like below –
Warning: Error while sending QUERY packet. PID=2458686 on like 1924.

I just tried to smush a single image from the list view of Media library and couldn’t locate any issue. Also bulk smush works well.

That error could be related to the max_allowed_packet MySQL variable:

I’d rather advise to contact your host provider and ask if this variable can be increased. They could also provide some more feedback about the source of this error.

Understand that Smush button got separated from media.

But warning is showing still.
