Can you please let us know what lightbox effect are you currently using? We may have a CSS solution for you that would help restricting the arrows’ area.

Basic slideshow transition style says Fade… is that what you mean?

Sorry, but that’s something else. We’d need to know what lightbox are you using in “NextGen Gallery -> Other Options -> Lightbox Effects -> What lightbox would you like to use?”

Ok, I have not changed this… it says Fancybox now.

Is there some solution to this?

You can add the CSS rule from below to “Appearance -> Customize -> Additional CSS” to restrict the navigation field’s width:

#fancybox-left, #fancybox-right {
    width: 5% !important;
}

Works perfect.
