    Hi,
Hmm… It’s not issue of the plugin, but I see your point :). I think you can currently solve it by using WORDSONLY functionality of the plugin. It’s not perfect, but it will solve the problem. In short put before and after the name of the author, those tags:

    -AMAZONPOLLY-ONLYWORDS-START-

[Text that will be shown in the browser but not read by the plugin.]

    -AMAZONPOLLY-ONLYWORDS-END-

Let me know if it’s working.

    Cheers,
    Tomasz

Thanks for the tip! Where exactly does this need to go? Before and after the image data in html view? This text will not be shown in the actual text of the article, right?

    Thx!

I had the same issue – with polly speaking “image” where there is an image tag. I tried enclosing the image tag with -AMAZONPOLLY-ONLYWORD-START- & -AMAZONPOLLY-ONLYWORD-END- in the html. But -AMAZONPOLLY-ONLYWORD-START- & -AMAZONPOLLY-ONLYWORD-END- are displaying in the browser.

    Hi @ lblake,
Would you mind pasting a part of your content where you have got image, and it was said by the plugin? I would like to test it and then fix it.

Here’s the html of the post:

I tried enclosing the img tag with -AMAZONPOLLY-ONLYWORD-START- & -AMAZONPOLLY-ONLYWORD-END- and they were visible in the browser.

I was able to reproduce it, and… it’s ok ?? What do I mean by ok is that this is proper behaviour, the plugin will try to ‘announce’ that there is an image. What is good practise, is that you should provide description in ‘alt’ param of the image (this is used for example for blind people). Then the plugin will read ‘Image: The content of the ALT param).

We might add in future the possibility of ‘not reading’ images, but at least for now, the behaviour will be correct.

    Closing for now.
