Image Map Link Disappears

Wondering if there is something I’m missing. A site I’m importing contains image maps with links to pages. After importing the images are imported except that the links disappear. Here is an example:

BEFORE – <map id="map27" name="map27"><area shape="rect" coords="18,6,104,25" href="requestaquote2750.html" alt=""></map><img src="wpimages/wpb541317c_06.png" alt="" width="106" height="30" />

AFTER: <img src="https://karay.creativecrib.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/20/2017/06/wpb541317c_06-2.png" alt="" width="106" height="30" />

I’m not so concerned about preserving the map however, the link is important to keep intact.
