I have tried both the command line and php module but cant get my site to enable image magick. I requested the package to be installed by the host (Liguid Web) and they did. I asked them to send me the path and it’s /usr/bin/convert. When I “test path” I get a circle of death. When I try to enable using cli or php module, I get a 404 error page after submitting. Going back to the settings I see that is did not get enabled.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Is anybody there? There must be something simple I’m missing. This isn’t an unorthodox WordPress installation. It’s pretty new and up-to-date.

Best would be if you can verify that they have installed the PHP module as. But also make sure you can run “exec” in your PHP environment as this is needed.

Looks like exec() was being blocked globally by php-fpm so I had them remove it from the block list. Still doesn’t work though.

Interesting thing to me is that the plugin looks happy but when I check the “enable” box and submit, it comes back with a 404 error and the plugin is still not enabled. Same result whether I use the command line version or the php module. And the path test doesn’t ever complete.

Do you have access to your logs? Because PHP is definitely outputting a error message that can help us understand why the error happens.

Got this resolved by the web host:

“I was able to replicate the issue on my end and I could see ModSec rules being triggered for the action. I went ahead and whitelisted the modsec rule for the domain”
