• When loading the hero image on the frontpage from a mobile device, it is pixelated and low quality. When switching to “desktop”, the quality is amazing, and when switching back to mobile, then it stays with good quality. It seems like something is preventing the mobile from loading a high quality picture on the mobile version.

I’ve noticed that on the mobile version, when you tilt the phone and it turns to “horizontal” mode, the picture loads to full quality and then stays in high quality when coming back to the vertical, mobile version.

How could I fix it so that the image will always have high quality, on mobile and desktop, from the beginning? The image was cropped to 2000×1200 before uploading.

    Thanks in advance!

  • It looks good on my phone. I have an Android device with Chrome browser. Have you looked on other mobile devices?

Thanks for the quick response, @bigmoxy ! I’ve checked with other devices, with home wifi as well. It happens the same. I also use Chrome and Android.

Would you check if “it looks good” or it looks okay, but better after turning it /loading it on the desktop version of chrome on your phone?

It looks the same to me after loading the desktop site on mobile. Is your home wifi a factor?

No. I’ve tried on a public wifi, my own mobile data, and my home wifi (500mb/s – I work on online teaching and definitely have a top notch connection). This is from a friend’s phone on his home wifi as well: Video

    Thanks for following up.
