image loading problem

I don’t understand how you load images to a wp catalogue product. On the product pages, you enter your text, category, price etc but when it comes to the images you are shown an section marked ‘Product Images’. You start with image 1 and click the upload button. Here you can download an image or choose one from the library. What do you do then? The obvious choice is to “Insert into post” and it returns to the “Edit Product” page but no image url appears in the Image 1 box. How do you get the image url in the box?

Surely you aren’t expected to go into ‘Edit image’ click on the file link, highlight the url, copy the url, exit the image handler, then paste it into the image edit box and click ‘update’.

So how do you do it then?
