Image lightbox not working in gallery

    I’ve set up a gallery using the lightbox feature, but clicking on an image doesn’t open the lightbox as expected. Instead, nothing happens. I tried disabling other plugins to check for conflicts, but the problem remains. The gallery is embedded via shortcode, and everything else works fine. Is there a known issue with the lightbox, or is there a specific setting I should check?

    1. Theme or Plugin Conflict. Since you’ve already tried disabling other plugins, the issue might be related to your theme. Try switching to a default WordPress theme (like Twenty Twenty-Four) to see if the lightbox starts working.

    2. Gallery Compatibility Settings. Go to Gallery Settings > Compatibility Settings and switch to an alternative lightbox library. Some themes or plugins may interfere with the default lightbox script.

    3. Image Link Settings. Double-check your gallery settings to ensure that images are set to open in the lightbox. If image links are enabled instead, clicking a thumbnail may direct users to another page instead of triggering the lightbox.

    4. Cache & JavaScript Issues. If you’re using a caching plugin or a performance optimization tool, try clearing your cache and disabling any JavaScript optimization settings to see if that makes a difference.
