Is there no way to open an image advanced block in a lightbox? Kind of shocked that is missing.

    Hi @thekendog,

    Thank you for reaching out.

The Kadence Advanced Image lightbox is handled by the theme. To enable lightbox for an Image (Adv) block:
    1. Navigate to the theme Customizer > General > Performance
    2. Toggle ON Enable Lightbox
    3. Copy the Image File URL from your Dashboard > Media
    4. Edit the page with the image and paste the URL in the Image Link

Here is a screencast of how to achieve this:

You can apply these settings to the Gutenberg Image block as well.

I hope this helps. Please let us know how we can help further.

    Cheers,
    Eze

I’m not using the Kadence theme. I am using Blocksy and that option is not there. I’d think the block/plugin itself would have a way to show the image in a lightbox, not the theme?

    Hello @thekendog,

While the Advanced Image block requires the Kadence theme for the lightbox, the Advanced Gallery block includes a lightbox. Instead of using the Advanced Image block, use the Advanced Gallery block. You can use the gallery even with a single image.

In the Advanced Gallery block settings, access the “Link Settings” and link to “Media File.” Another option will appear for “Link Triggers.” Set the link to trigger the lightbox. This will let you access a lightbox using a third-party theme.
