Since the last update, I notice that there is an issue with Yoast recognizing image keyphrases.

    I get this notification.

Out of 6 images on this page, only 1 has an alt attribute that reflects the topic of your text.

But when I checked, three images have the correct keyphrase included.

Is it a glitch, or is there another explanation?

    Hello @bobsled

Thanks for using the Yoast SEO.

Can you let us know how the images are added to your content? Because the Yoast SEO plugin analyzes the default WordPress content areas like the title, URL, and the main content box (WordPress editor). If you are adding your content through other plugins or theme content boxes (as most page builders do), Yoast SEO may not be able to detect it by default.

Thanks for getting back to me. I use the classic editor, and insert images.

However, I just prepared a new post, and now the image keyphrases are counted correctly. So it might have been a glitch on one post.

I’ll keep an eye on it and let you know if it happens again.

    Hey Derek,

Thanks for the update. Sounds good, do feel free to reopen the topic, we’ll mark it as resolved for now. Have a great day!
