We are sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues with our plugin. We have tested the relevant page on our end by using the Facebook Object Debugger and can confirm the image is appearing correctly as expected. Can you please try sharing the relevant page again on Facebook to see if that resolves the issue for you?

On the other hand, we understand the relevant image isn’t appearing on Yoast SEO snippet preview. Can you please confirm whether you have added the relevant image as a featured image on the relevant page? If not, can you please add the relevant image as a featured image to see if that resolves the issue for you?

    Thanks for the quick response!

Yes, for Facebook and other social networks, everything is now ok. I do not know, to be honest, what has changed during this time. ??

But in the “Google Preview” the image did not appear.
I am attaching screenshots again, in support of my words:

Thanks for sharing the relevant screenshots with us. As requested before, can you please confirm whether you have added the relevant image as a featured image on the relevant page? If not, can you please add the relevant image as a featured image to see if that resolves the issue for you?

Um, do we not understand each other?
I said – did, that is – added the specified image, but it is not displayed in the “Google preview” field. In addition, I also attached screenshots. Twice.
Take a look at the screenshots.

    Hi Andrew,

While reading your past conversations, I assume that you’d like to have an image appear in the Google preview section under the SEO tab of the Yoast SEO metabox of your current edit post. And, that image you’ve uploaded is under the Social(tab) of the same Yoast SEO metabox. Is that correct?

If my assumption above is correct, unfortunately, this is not how Yoast SEO preview is supposed to work. The custom image that you’ve specified inside Social(tab) > Facebook Preview (i.e. https://prnt.sc/uo9wev) is supposed to appear only in Facebook preview after you shared the particular post on Facebook, but not mean to appear on the Google preview field. You can get more information about Facebook live preview feature from this article.

Having said that, in Yoast SEO Premium, you get full control of your Facebook and Twitter shares! There is no guesswork with the social preview feature. By seeing exactly what your posts look like when you share them, you get the chance to improve your social media presence.

If the above understanding still come wrong, we’d like you to kindly elaborate your requirement in a bit more detail so that we could further try to clarify you.

In continued to the above response, I can confirm that the specified image is appearing on the Facebook preview as per your requirement. https://prnt.sc/uoa3y6

Yes, @suascat_wp, you understand correctly! ??

Where does the Google Preview image come from? Can you find out about this from your knowledge base? And then I apparently do not understand something … For a long time it was like this:
    – added an image (on the “social networks” tab)
    – and after a while, while I am working on the text of the article, it is loaded and displayed in the “Google preview”.

Help me understand how it works.

And so the problem is solved. You helped me a lot. Thanks!

    Hi @kronos1705,

We expect the Google preview section in Yoast SEO should show the image if that’s uploaded from the post Featured image section of your edit page. Can you please try this step once?

In the mobile version of our Google preview tool, you’ll find an image. Sometimes, Google adds this image to its search results snippets on mobile. To mimic this behavior we automatically add the featured image of your post to Yoast’s Google preview.

“Featured image section” – I don’t understand this. Where is it and on which tab? Does it relate to one article or the entire site? If possible, then a link to the documentation or a screenshot. I really don’t understand.

Sorry for the confusion. When you create a new post or edit post (or page) and scroll down a little on the right-hand side of the screen, you should see the Featured Image section from where you are supposed to upload the featured image. Here’s a nice article that might help you locate this feature. If you’re using a Gutenberg editor, there’s a slightly different interface for which please refer to this article.

    Does this help?

    Now I understand. Thanks.
I do not use and have never used this functionality. And without this, the image was displayed in the “Google preview”, but today this did not happen and I decided to find out why.
Since this does not work, then we will leave it as it is.
